Mitch is a full professor in the Ph.D. Program in Leadership & Change at Antioch University. Mitch also consults internationally in leadership development, strategic planning, executive coaching and organizational development.

Previously Mitch managed the leadership development area at American Express Financial Advisors, and managed organization development for HealthPartners, Inc.

Mitch received an international award from the International Society for Performance Improvement as Outstanding Researcher of the Year and the award for Minnesota Organization Development Practitioner of the Year. He is also a 2005 Fulbright Scholar in International Organization Development.

As a researcher, Mitch engages in national and international studies designed to help managers lead more effectively—his research always maintains an incredibly practical bent. He has just finished a national study with co-researcher Dr. Elizabeth Holloway, of what leaders need to do to mitigate the effects of toxic personalities at work. Their research debunks many of the myths associated with how to work with these extremely difficult personalities.
