I’m introducing Martha Pope Gorris, author of "Parenting 20-Something Kids: Recognizing Your Role as They Find Their Way".

A graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Creative Writing, Martha is a writer who targets women who want to grow in their relationships with God and others. Her articles and stories have appeared in numerous publications such as Chicken Soup for the Military Wife's Soul, Stories from a Soldier's Heart and The Art of Helping.

Martha's first book, Held Captive by Futile Thoughts? Break Free! addresses the way we think, and how if not checked, destructive patterns can rule, then ruin our lives.

Her latest book, Parenting 20-Something Kids: Recognizing Your Role as They Find Their Way, speaks to the changing role of parents as our children become adults. How do we maintain a good relationship with them? Martha draws on the stories of veteran parents to offer solutions. Her book was a finalist in the San Diego County Book Awards for 2006. Her novel, Survival Creek, was a finalist in the 2007 American Christian Fiction Writer's Genesis Contest.

Martha is a trained CLASS (Christian Leaders Authors Speakers Seminar) speaker and is available to address women's groups.

Martha and her husband Fred have two grown children and live in Southern California
