Jodie Lynn was privileged to interview Jana Adams on "Inside Parenting Success."

The topic for this interview is "The Colors Within", the inspiring story of a survivor of severe childhood abuse and how she reconnects with her human spirit even though the abuse stunted and scarred the woman she became.

Our next special says "We are not defined by our childhoods and that recovery is possible. We are not damaged goods and the abuse that was inflicted upon us was not our fault."

If you would like learn how to help abuse victims understand their trauma and empower them to use that understanding to heal and recover, then I highly recommend you pay attention to this survivor of severe childhood abuse.

I’m introducing Jana Adams, author of the Award Winning Book "The Colors Within: One Rainbow Reclaimed".

Jana Adams is a Court Appointed Special Advocate and has worked with abused and/or neglected children for the past 15 years. She is also a volunteer Child Advocate with Lawyers for Children America which is a national all volunteer legal organization that provides pro bono legal services for children who have been victims of abuse or neglect.

Jana has worked extensively with lobbyists and state representatives by authoring new proposed legislation to further children’s rights and to afford them more protection and services when they are caught up in the legal system and while in foster care awaiting a placement. She has also authored legislation which further expands the laws for mandatory reporters of child abuse and neglect which was recently passed this year.
